The prestigious ‘Juvenes Translatores’ contest was started in 2007 to find the best young translators in the Europe. With studies showing the ever-growing need for translation and translators across the continent, the competition aims to raise awareness of the importance of translation skills and the need to reassess translation — as a means of ‘mediating’ between languages — in the context of language learning.
King David was one of a small number of UK schools selected to take part in the competition. The school would like to thank Jacob Rudolph, Ruben Burton, Theo Cosky, Jade Wagman, Amy Brown and Alicia Chapman for their enthusiasm, hard work and excellent translations.
