Yesterday saw the culmination of the Yavneh girls Brachot campaign this term, in memory of Sarah Goldman. Each year group had to accumulate as many Brachot as possible. This was all recorded on a chart in the Yavneh hall. The girls have all been really enthusiastic and one  could hear lots of Brachot bring recited as you passed their classrooms. The winning class was year Ten, who will be treated to a meal in a restaurant after Pesach.

Bogrot (former students who have just returned from Seminary in Israel led discussion groups. We completed this term with a Brachot party which was enjoyed by all.

​Yavneh girls held their own Israeli mock elections today. The Likud party were firmly in the lead with Shas in second place.

This was organised by Mrs.Hoffner with help from Year 10 who hosted the polling station and Year 8 who prepared the ballot cards.

Mr Roth addressed students in year 9 about the important work of Keren Malki. Malki Roth was tragically murdered by a suicide bomber in 2001 aged just 15. During the Shiva the family discussed how they would memorialise her. Keren Malki the Malki Foundation provides material and financial help to families with special needs children. Their help is available to all citizens of the State of Israel in all areas of the country.  Keren Malki is this year’s chosen charity. Students were invigorated after the talk and discussed ways that their groups could raise even more money to help the foundation with its vital work.
