Year 11 Mini MocksOutstanding GCSE Results at The King David High School
We are delighted to share our pupils’ exceptional success in this year’s GCSE examinations. An impressive 39% of all grades awarded were at 7–9, the equivalent of the old A/A* grades. This marks a significant increase on the results achieved in the previous two years, showcasing the remarkable achievements of a cohort who faced considerable challenges throughout the Covid period.
Almost a quarter of all grades achieved were at 8 or 9, reflecting a substantial uplift from the pupils’ Mock examination performance. These outstanding results highlight the determination, perseverance, and commitment shown by our students and the dedication of our staff. Throughout the examination period, pupils continued to attend lessons, demonstrating resilience and determination to maximise their outcomes. Their hard work, focus, and positive attitude have been rightly rewarded, and we are incredibly proud of every one of them. We now look forward to welcoming this talented group of young people back in September as they embark on the next stage of their academic journey in our Sixth Form, continuing their studies with confidence and success already under their belt. KDHS Celebrates Outstanding A-Level Exam ResultsThe King David High School is delighted to announce an outstanding set of A Level and Level 3 Diploma results for 2025, a huge leap forward from recent years’ performance.
This year, over one fifth of all grades were awarded at A* – the 2nd highest in the school’s history – with close to 50% of all grades at A/A*. This represents an impressive improvement of over 16% on last year’s A/A* results, a testament to the ambition and determination of our students. Over a third of all students achieved an average grade of A or higher, reflecting both the high quality of teaching and the resilience of our learners. In addition, almost 80% of our students have accepted their first choice university offer, gaining entry to some of the most competitive courses in the country, including one student to the University of Cambridge, 3 students accepted to study Medicine, 2 students going to Durham University, 1 to Imperial College London and 1 to Warwick . Mrs Tracy Basger, Interim Headteacher, said: "We are incredibly proud of our students. Their resilience, commitment, and ambition have shone through. These results are a testament to their hard work, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families. This year’s improvement is nothing short of remarkable. We wish every member of our Year 13 cohort the very best as they move on to further education and the next exciting stage of their journey.”
