The allotment is springing forward with the full involvement of our Nursery kids, Primary pupils, and Secondary students - we are 'growing'! So far seeds have been sown - parsley to courgettes, beans to radishes, beets to nasturtium and so much more! The sees pots are sheltering in classrooms and inside our colourful tyre beds. As part of the programme, the girls have to complete a block of training, which will take place in the coming weeks, where they will plan and run an extra curricular girls football opportunity taking place during National Sports Week (19th - 26th June 2021). As part of the GOOO leadership programme, the aim is for the girls to develop key life skills, but also helping to increase participation of girls football in schools. Helping to work towards the FA Game Of Our Own programmes goal of girls having equal access to football in schools by 2024. On completion of the programme the girls will receive the Girls Football Youth Sport Trust Award. |
