'Power of Words' HMD Photography ExhibitionDate: 26th January 2018
Together with the Community Arts Project, today saw the unveiling of two photography exhibitions to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2018. The theme this year is, 'The Power of Words'.
Firstly; students from the King David High School Photography Society, ClickSoc, were challenged to produce a photograph that expresses something they cannot live without and a second photograph to show how words have had affected them. Students were then asked to write and explain the images they have taken in their own words. Secondly, year 12 Yavneh Boys have recently returned from a tour of Jewish sites in Poland with Aish and JRoots. Students were asked to select a photograph they had taken that captures a memorable experience of their recent tour and then to write this aspect in their own words. |
