KDHS Holocaust Memorial Day RepresentativesDate: 25th January 2018
Year 10 students were selected to represent the school at the City of Manchester's Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony.
They had a chance to learn about Righteous Gentile Diplomats who often broke their own rules to save lives. They were also fortunate to listen to Dr Peter Kurer who told his own family's tale of escape from Nazi Europe with the help of the Quakers. It was a moving morning with plenty of scope for personal reflection and further thought. Students were led by Rabbi Rickman (pictured) and Miss.Thomas. |
