Year 7 and 8 Maths Challenge SuccessDate: 8th June 2017
A team of Year 7 and 8 students took the UKMT Junior Maths challenge, achieving excellent results. This is a national competition aimed at the brightest students in Years 7 and 8. Gold, silver and bronze certificates are awarded to the top 40% of participants.
Abigail Hurst (Y8) achieved the top mark for the school. She and Georgia Lesser (Y8) both achieved Gold and qualified for the follow-on European Kangaroo competition. Year 8 students Sholom Cohen, Libbi Rubens and Lucy Singer also achieved Gold as did Year 7 students Reuben Baker and Ben Bentley. A further ten students achieved Silver and 23 achieved Bronze. |
