Year 10 Visit to Shakepeare's Globe TheatreDate: 2nd June 2017
Students from year 10 enjoyed a day out to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London on 2nd June. The group became acquainted with the sights and sounds of 17th century entertainment, experiencing wooden bench seating, the open air and all weathers. The production itself was an unusual and original interpretation of Shakespeare's famous 'Romeo and Juliet' which sparked much interest and debate amongst the students in their post-show talks. The students will be able to harness these ideas in their analysis of the play for their GCSE English Literature exam.
