Sainsbury School Games Mark Silver Award

13 Year 9 pupils attended an exciting Computing Explore Day at Manchester University School of Computing. The pupils were inspired by a talk from Dr Gavin Brown on robotics and Artificial Intelligence, entitled "The Robots Are Not Coming to Kill Us!" and by Dr David Rydeheard on computer research at Manchester University and careers in Computing.
They also took part in two exciting workshops - one in the morning using Codebugs and one in the afternoon using Oculus Rift. As part of the hospitality of the day, they were also treated to a campus tour by student ambassadors. Students attending were Benji Berkeley, Dylan Black, Duncan Friedberg, Dovid Kaufman, Itay Kirsh, Ruben Kroll, Adi Lampert, Shoam Levy, Alex Radivan, Dan Shomron, Ariel Shukhman, Charlie Silvert and Jade Wagman. This day was led by Mrs.Kesler and Mrs.Bell. |
