Holiday Support

From Mr.Pitt. (Mr Marvin's work below)

First priority I think is probably a bit of relaxation after a very draining year.I’d like you then to do these two pieces of work to finish off the work on Theory in preparation for September (we’ll go through this then). It shouldn’t take too long.

Read the attached chapter on Sociology and Values and the worksheet
(<<<<<<Support Documents)
Answer this 10 mark question:
Outline and explain two reasons why values may enter sociological research.   [10 marks]

Answer this 10 mark question:
Outline and explain two reasons why sociologists may not influence government policy.   [10 marks]

If you missed any of the work we did during the lockdown, remember that the recordings of the lessons are on Teams, and I’ve set Seneca up for revision if anyone wants to look at it.

Finally, below is some wider reading and watching for you if you have the time and the inclination (might be useful for anyone thinking of a sociology based UCAS application in particular).

Owen Jones: Chavs: The Demonisation of the Working Class
