The Parents' Guild: Supporting Our Children

Welcome to Our Page

Picture
Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I am so grateful that we can finally have our pupils back in school and start focusing on the school year ahead. This year our committee is pleased to welcome some new faces and we hope, with your help, that we can continue to raise some much needed funds despite the current situation.
Our primary aim is to raise as much money as possible for our school and our pupils and this year is no exception. It is no doubt going to be more of a challenge to do this, but I am confident that with the support of our wonderful parents we will still be able to provide many of those extras that our students have come to enjoy and expect.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to host our annual fireworks party though we hope to be able to offer some other events as the school year progresses (fingers crossed). We are as much in limbo with regards to these events as you will be with your own personal gatherings. We will keep you updated on these as time goes on.
On a positive note we do have some plans in motion to fund resources, activities and equipment for the school and I will update you on these once all is in place. As indicated above our ability to fundraise for the school is hugely debilitated this year, therefore I ask you all to please please pay your annual parents’ guild subscriptions. I cannot emphasise enough how much your ‘subs’ will be needed this year more than any other.  The subs contribution is a one off yearly payment of £10 per family or £5 for a single parent family (regardless of how many children you have) for all those with children in King David Schools from the pre-school through to sixth form.
Payments can be made via cash/cheque or bank transfer. Cheques can be made payable to KDSPG.  Please send all cash/cheques into school together with your child/ren’s names and form group in to school with your child who can hand it to their class/form teacher to be passed to the office. Please do not hand to the school office yourself.
The subs co-ordinators for this year are Lindsey Donn and Suzanne Perry. All subs can be handed to them or any other member of our committee. Please ensure that the subs form is completed and returned to school with your child regardless of payment option.
Should you wish to volunteer for any of our events or discuss any ideas you have, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at k.dspg@kdprimary.co.uk
Thank you in advance for your support.
