Y12 UCAS Evening

Date: 5th Jan 2017
With the start of the New Year comes the beginning of the new UCAS season for our Year 12 students. This has begun with King David hosting an introductory evening to the UCAS process. This was organised and run by the Sixth Form team: Mr Pitt, Miss Hirst, Mr Christo and Mr Walsh.

This evening consisted of in house talks on: Application Process,  Support and Expectations and Personal Statement Writing by Mr Pitt and Applying to Russell Group Universities – KD  Support and Expectations by Miss Hirst.

We were also lucky enough to have a number of external speakers including: Mrs L Dover and Dr P Wallman giving advice on Dentistry & Medicine and Miss H Christo giving a well received talk on Internships, work experience and investment banking. We also had presentations from the Universities of Oxford, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool giving practical advice on how to go about applying to their institutions.

This event was well attended and has set the students up for the next step in the UCAS process which includes:

15 March - UCAS Convention - Manchester Central
20 March - Oxbridge Conference - Haydock
