Support Us
There are many ways parents can support the school, and we greatly value your involvement.
This can include volunteering your time, attending school events, and engaging with the wider school community. One of the most impactful ways to support us is by reinforcing school expectations at home, helping to ensure consistency between school and home. By working together in this way, we can create a positive, supportive environment that allows all students to thrive.
Parental Security Rota
The King David High School is proud to be supported by a strong and caring community.
Parental Security Rota
Alongside professional security measures, the school operates a Parental Security Rota. This provides an additional visible presence at the start and end of the school day and supports the school’s wider safeguarding culture.
Parents who get involved help by:
-
Providing a visible, reassuring presence at agreed time
-
Being observant and reporting concerns to school staff
-
Supporting the calm and safe arrival and departure of pupils
-
Volunteers are not expected to intervene or place themselves in difficult situations.
-
Clear guidance is provided, and all actions are carried out in line with CST advice and under the direction of the school.
We need your support, now more than ever and we ask all parents to do their bit. Volunteers are asked to participate for 45 minutes (8.15 am – 9.00 am or 3.10 pm – 3.50 pm) whenever you are able. Ideally, we would like parents to commit to a weekly slot, or even monthly slot, but if this is not possible, every parent is asked to cover at least one shift each term. Kit and training are provided – no expertise or other skills are required. The role of the Parent Rota is to provide a visual deterrent and to watch out for any unusual or suspicious activity around Campus at the busiest times of day.
Please contact: parentalrota@kdhigh.co.uk with your contact details and which day and time is best for your shift.
Please do not leave this to other parents – the security of all the children on Campus is paramount.
Bursar's Office
King David High School is committed to providing a broad, high-quality education that combines academic excellence with a strong Jewish ethos. Alongside government funding, the school relies on voluntary parental contributions to maintain the standard of education, facilities and opportunities that our community expects.
Parental contributions support all areas of school life and are not limited to any single department. They help sustain staffing levels, curriculum breadth, pastoral provision, enrichment opportunities and the overall quality of education across the school. Over recent years, schools nationally have faced sustained reductions in real-terms funding alongside rising costs, making this support increasingly important.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, families are invited to contribute £1,800 per year (£150 per month) to the Parental Contributions Programme. We would like to emphasise that, in law, these contributions are voluntary. However, continued support from families plays a significant role in allowing the school to maintain its current provision and standards.

Contributions via a Business
Parents who own a business may choose to make contributions through their company. The school can issue an invoice for a charitable donation, allowing the business to benefit from the associated tax relief. Please contact the Bursar’s Office for further details.
Charity Vouchers and Cheques
The school is able to accept charitable vouchers or cheques (including support from charitable foundations). If you wish to use this method, please contact the Bursar’s Office on 0161 740 3181 or email kdsbursar@kdhigh.co.uk.
ParentPay and School Fund
For safeguarding and security reasons, the school does not accept cash payments. Payments should be made via ParentPay, with login details provided at the start of term.
In addition, parents who are able to do so are invited to contribute £50 to the School Fund. This supports the provision of learning resources, including exercise books, textbooks and digital learning platforms such as online subscriptions used both in school and at home. Contributions to the School Fund can be made through ParentPay or set up as a monthly Direct Debit.
