The
Governors and Staff of King David High
School are very aware of the importance
of maintaining a high level of personal
security within the School as well as
reducing the potential for arson, theft
and vandalism.
The School
has implemented the following
arrangements to ensure, as far as
reasonably practicable, the safety and
security of staff, pupils and other
persons using the School premises:

There are guards on the Main Gates.

There is extensive CCTV coverage of
the entire campus both interior and
exterior.

All visitors are required to check
in at the School Office and to sign
in with details of their name,
organisation, host/destination and
time of arrival/departure.
Conditions of entry to the campus
may involve a bag search.

Individual pupils leaving the School
site during the day for any reason
will be challenged by the guard.
Security
Personnel:
At present
Deuce Security is providing the security
personnel on the campus. All the guards
undergo extensive training and they all
hold a valid SIA badge. Furthermore King
David Security has undergone Project
Griffin, a Greater Manchester Police
initiative in counter terrorism
awareness covering a vast amount of
topics. Greater Manchester Police meet
with Campus Security weekly to discuss
any new developments in the area.
Parking:
All parents
are encouraged not to park on yellow
lines in and around the campus.
Furthermore, parents are asked to
refrain from parking on the Keep Clear
zig zag lines on Seymour Road.
Parking on
campus is restricted to authorised
vehicles only.
Parent
Volunteer Rota:
Every
morning there is a volunteer manning the
gates on Seymour Road. This year we
would like to extend the extra morning
security and add a security volunteer to
patrol the Yavneh Girls footpath between
the Polygon and Eaton Road. If you able
to help between 08:30 09:00 please get
in touch.
Public
Transport + Pupil Awareness:
Each year
there are several incidents where pupils
have had their belongings taken. In the
majority of cases it is due to the pupil
being unaware he/she was being followed.
In several cases this was the result of
listening to their Ipods etc, Security
is arranging for members of staff who
use public transport to chaperone the
pupils after school.
