Outstanding Teacher Training

24/5/2019

Today King David High School was awarded 'Advanced Partnership School' teacher training status from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU)for their PGCE training provision. This follows a quality assurance visit by the university, where the school impressed MMU across all areas of the inspection.
This achievement is in no small part due to the hard work and professionalism of our subject mentors who are a credit to our school and who give large amounts of their time to provide outstanding training and support.

Spanish Exchange Success for KDHS Y9

15/5/2019

This term our Year 9 students studying Spanish have been exchanging emails with students from the IES Salvador de Madariaga school in La Coruña, Galicia. They have also recorded and uploaded videos onto a blog to introduce themselves to their penpals.
On Wednesday 15th May, the group had their first live video conference with the students in Spain.
The session enabled the students from both schools to converse in Spanish and English. It was a great opportunity for  students to develop their Spanish language skills, to learn about the culture of Spain, to form friendships abroad and improve their confidence in spoken Spanish.
Many thanks to all students involved. It was a great success.
