Treat others as you would
wish them to treat you.
Bullying is behaviour
that is deliberately hurtful (including
aggression) repeated often over a period
of time and where it is difficult for
victims to defend themselves.
The school has a zero
tolerance policy on bullying.
-
It is unacceptable
for children to hurt others –
verbally or physically
-
If it happens,
children must tell an adult – their
Form Teacher, Head of Upper/Lower
School, Deputy Headteacher,
Headteacher, School Secretary or
Lunchtime Organiser. If a child
tells his/her parent, the parent
should inform the school immediately
by telephone or by coming into
school to see the Headteacher.
-
The Headteacher
and/or Heads of Lower/Upper School
and/or Tutors, will be personally
involved.
-
Pupils who bully will
be subject to strict disciplinary
procedures and persistent bullying
could lead to suspension or
exclusion.
The school has a strategy
for the prevention and reduction of
bullying which comprises:
-
Befriending Scheme –
where pupils help each other.
-
Advice on how to deal
with bullying from form teachers and
the Headteacher.
-
Through PHSE
