GCSE
ICT – AQA 4520
(1) GCSE ICT is about how
technology is used, how it works and the effects it has – not just on
our daily lives but in everything from commerce and communication, to
politics and the music industry. The GCSE is comprised of 3 units:
Systems and
Applications in ICT – examination lasting 1 hour 30 minutes; 40% of the
marks. Pupils will answer questions from 3 sections:

Section A:
10 compulsory structured questions of mixed composition

Section B:
3 compulsory structured questions featuring short and extended
answer questions

Section C:
1 essay question from a choice of 2

An internally
assessed, eternally moderated assignment: 30% of the marks. This
assignment will be set by the Examination Board and may comprise one or
more tasks.

assessed, eternally moderated assignment: 30% of the marks. This
assignment will be set by the Examination Board, from a choice of six.
